My daughter and our family have benefited greatly from our connection to Overbrook. Lessons we learned with in-home services from Overbrook remain with us today. Once she started attending school, she slowly learned to interact with others. One of her teachers taught her how to shake hands and that was a life-changer. She became much more social and people responded well to her reaching out to them.
Our family has benefited from Overbrook as well. We receive a lot of support and information about resources from staff and programs for families. I drive my daughter to and from school every day and am fortunate to be able to connect with other parents/grandparents who do the same. We share experiences, joys, challenges, frustrations and are there for each other through the many roller coasters we all ride every day.
