The early intervention programs provide services to children birth to five and their families throughout Philadelphia and surrounding counties. The goals of our programs are to empower our families with the knowledge and resources needed to be advocates for their children, to help our children learn to explore their environments through play and functional activities and to help our children learn to be as independent as possible.
Services to accomplish these overall goals are delivered in a variety of ways. Our community based services are typically provided in one of two settings. Birth to three services are provided in the home and occasionally in daycare settings and three to five community based services are usually provided in preschool/daycare settings and occasionally in the home.
Our centerbased services are provided to children between the ages of three through five here on Overbrook’s campus. These services are provided to children who require an intensive five day program with the primary focus being the child’s vision.
